UNPACK

command

Extract every file from a ZIP archive into the current folder. Both ordinary .zip files and the .app packages made by PACKAGE are supported, with stored or deflated entries.

UNPACK filename$

filename$ - archive to extract (e.g. “GAME.ZIP”)

Paths inside the archive are applied relative to the current folder, so an archive holding only top-level files unpacks those files into the folder you are already in; a “GFX/PIC.BMP” entry creates GFX and writes PIC.BMP inside it. If a target file already exists at the prompt, File exists, overwrite? [Y/n] asks first; from a running program a collision stops with ?FILE EXISTS. The archive is read in full before anything is written.

Errors: ?FILE NOT FOUND if filename$ is missing, ?UNPACK if the archive is corrupt or uses an unsupported compression method.

Example:

CHDIR "A:/"
MKDIR "SRC"
CHDIR "SRC"
UNPACK "A:/GAME.ZIP"
DIR
