EJECT

command

Safely unmount a USB volume before removing it.

EJECT [letter$]

letter$ - drive such as “D:” (optional; defaults to the current drive)

Flushes any pending writes and unmounts the FAT volume so the stick can be pulled without corrupting it. After an eject the drive disappears from DRIVE until the stick is removed and re-inserted. The SD card (C:) and the ramdisk (A:) cannot be ejected.

In FILES, use Command -> Eject to unmount the drive shown in the active pane.

Example:

EJECT "D:"
