INSTR

command

Find a substring. Returns its 1-based position, or 0 when absent.

pos = INSTR([start,] haystack$, needle$)

start - 1-based position to begin the search (default 1) haystack$ - string to search needle$ - substring to find; “” returns start

Example:

PRINT INSTR("MMBASIC", "BAS")   ' 3
