TIMEZONE

command · Also: OPTION TIMEZONE

Select the local timezone offset applied to DATE$, TIME$ and DATETIME$. The stored clock and EPOCH stay UTC; only the displayed clock is shifted. The offset is also handed to the hardware clock so FAT file timestamps are local.

OPTION TIMEZONE “name”

name is a built-in fixed-offset zone without daylight saving, e.g. UTC (the default), Europe/Amsterdam, America/New_York, Asia/Tokyo or Pacific/Auckland, or a numeric offset such as UTC+2, UTC-5:30 or GMT+5.

Use NTP to synchronise the clock. See also DATETIME$ and EPOCH.

Example:

OPTION TIMEZONE "Europe/Amsterdam"
PRINT DATETIME$(NOW)
