Syntax Conventions
Help topics show command forms like this:
COMMAND name, [optional], {choice1 | choice2}
name - a required argument you supply [optional] - may be omitted {a | b} - choose one of the listed forms … - the previous item may repeat
String arguments are usually written with a $ suffix in the description (file$, path$) even when you pass a quoted literal: “HELLO.BAS”.
Examples under each topic are indented. Type them at the prompt or as a multiline program. Do not prefix example lines with program line numbers.
Keywords are not case-sensitive: print, PRINT, and Print are the same. Spaces around commas are optional.
