APPS

command

List and run packaged `.APP` applications found on the app path.

APPS

Opens the home launcher: a list of every `.APP` on the PATH (default `A:/APPS/`; see OPTION PATH). Pick one with Up/Down and press Enter to run it with the same rules as `RUN “name.app”` (mounted read-only as B:, MAIN.BAS starts). Esc leaves the launcher and returns to the REPL.

Entries show the package’s Title when it has one (the optional `title=` field in its `PACKAGE.INF`, as set by the PACKAGE wizard). Packages without a Title, and archives that cannot be read, show the file name without `.APP`. Only the label is taken from the metadata; Enter always runs that package.

A bare app name typed at the prompt also runs it, for example:

MYGAME

runs the first `MYGAME.APP` found on the PATH. Built-in commands and user SUB/FUNCTION names always take precedence, so adding apps never shadows the language.

Ctrl+Space

At the prompt, Ctrl+Space opens a quick picker of the same apps. Enter runs the highlighted app; Esc cancels and leaves the line unchanged. When the PATH is empty (or lists no `.APP` packages) the picker still opens and shows that no apps were found.

Boot

`OPTION BOOT LAUNCHER` starts the launcher at power-on instead of the REPL. `OPTION BOOT “MYGAME”` starts straight into an app. `OPTION BOOT REPL` (the default) starts at the REPL. See BOOT.

Example:

OPTION PATH "A:/APPS/;C:/APPS/"
OPTION BOOT LAUNCHER
