Convert a date (and optional time), or the current clock, to Unix epoch seconds. The result is UTC; it does not apply a local timezone.
epoch = EPOCH(date$ [, time$]) epoch = EPOCH(NOW)
date$ - “dd-mm-yyyy”, “dd/mm/yyyy” or “yyyy-mm-dd” time$ - “hh:mm[:ss]” (optional) NOW - use the current RTC / system clock
When the argument is already a number it is returned unchanged. See also DATETIME$ and DAY$.
Example:
PRINT EPOCH("01-01-1970")
PRINT EPOCH("01-01-1970", "01:00:00")
PRINT DATETIME$(EPOCH(NOW))
