PATH

command

Directories searched for `.APP` packages, set with `OPTION PATH`.

OPTION PATH “dir$[;dir$…]”

The value is one directory or a semicolon-separated list. The default is `A:/APPS/`, so first-party apps shipped on the ramdisk are found without any setup. An empty string clears the path.

The path is used by APPS, the Ctrl+Space picker, a bare app name typed at the prompt, and `OPTION BOOT` into an app. Search stops at the first `NAME.APP` found; directories are tried left to right. Names match case-insensitively, like the rest of the filesystem.

Example:

OPTION PATH "A:/APPS/"
OPTION PATH "A:/APPS/;C:/APPS/"
OPTION PATH ""

`OPTION LIST` shows the path when it differs from the default; `OPTION LIST ALL` always shows it.
