SCREENSHOT

Capture the current screen to a PNG image on a writable drive. Works in both graphics modes and full-screen text apps (EDIT, FILES, TERM, WORDPAD…).

SCREENSHOT [path$]

path$ - image path, or a folder to write into (optional). With no argument

the image is written to A:/ as SHOT_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.PNG.

The global hotkey is F12: it captures to A:/ from anywhere, including inside a full-screen app. The filename is timestamped and uniquified, so repeated captures never overwrite each other.

A missing drive, an unwritable folder, or a full disk reports ?SCREENSHOT.
