SETTINGSSETTINGS

WHAT IT DOES

SETTINGS opens the system-wide settings hub as a modal dialog. The hub lists categories, and each category holds its own controls. Esc backs out of a category to the hub, and closes from the hub, returning to the prompt.

SETTINGS THEME name, or SETTINGS THEME n, sets a theme by name or index without walking the menus. OPTION THEME name does the same selection from a program.

FEATURES

  • Settings

The Settings category shows the local date and time and a battery badge on the top line, then brightness and volume sliders. Up and Down move between the sliders. Left and Right change the focused one in 5% steps. Brightness is applied live where the panel has a controllable backlight. Volume drives the PLAY output. Both are saved to .mmbasic.ini and restored on the next start.

  • Appearance

The theme picker lists every built-in TUI theme and previews the highlighted one live. Enter keeps the choice. It sets the system-wide theme, the same one OPTION THEME sets, so it applies to FILES, WORDPAD, TERM, HELP, SPRITE, PACKAGE, APPS and the rest of the themed chrome. EDIT follows it unless OPTION EDIT THEME picks an editor-only theme. The choice is saved to C:/.mmbasic.ini, or A: if there is no SD card.

  • Themes

Built-in themes, in order: 0 Paper, 1 Cloud, 2 Snow, 3 Night, 4 Nord, 5 Slate, 6 Forest, 7 Violet, 8 Turbo, 9 Phosphor, 10 Monochrome. The default is Slate. Turbo is the retro VGA palette, Phosphor is a green CRT, and Monochrome is greyscale.

  • Network

The Network category shows the current link state, the assigned IP address (or "none" when there is no address yet) and the Wi-Fi, Ethernet and NTP configuration. Change them at the prompt with OPTION WIFI, CONNECT or OPTION NTP. The category itself is read-only.
